CN DX-125 is coming soon

Very soon, the waters of Modern Warships (MW) will be stirred up by the new Chinese hovercraft CN DX-125, capable of fighting confidently on the front lines and inflicting devastating damage from afar!

The CN DX-125 is an experimental hovercraft assault vessel concept developed for the Chinese Navy. It stands out for its expanded range of offensive and defensive weapons, as well as its reinforced and enlarged hull. The vessel is designed to escort slower allied ships and perform various operational and tactical missions. Its original layout ensures effectiveness against all types of maritime threats.

Let's learn more about the new ship!

Armament:

1. YJ-18 missile battery [2x1]

2. Red Arrow 20/50 missile battery [1x1]🔒

3. ZPT-98A/3 (125 mm) cannon [2x1]🔒

4. PHH-11A grenade launcher [4x1]🔒

5. WZ-11W helicopter [1x1]🔒

6. TW 200 helicopter [1x1]🔒

7. LD35H air defense [3x1]🔒

The new hovercraft's arsenal is quite extensive for its class, with a large number of artillery weapons on board. In particular, it is worth noting the four PHH-11A grenade launchers, which can very effectively combat underwater and surface targets due to their accuracy and rate of fire. The ship is also well-equipped with cannons — two ZPT-98A/3 triple-barrel mounts (125 mm) are capable of delivering high-precision strikes against the enemy at virtually any range. Speaking of distance, it is worth noting the Red Arrow 20/50 missiles, which are capable of hitting targets at long ranges, ignoring the anti-missile traps launched by the attacked ship. By the way, these missiles can be launched using the TW 200 helicopter. In addition to this, there is another unmanned attack helicopter located at the stern of the hull — the WZ-11W, with a reserve of 3 units. The ship's defense is provided by 3 combined LD35H air defense systems, capable of engaging various air targets thanks to their mixed arsenal.

What is the gameplay like on the new ship?

Pros:

  • Higher durability and survivability compared to its counterpart (Pan Spatial Zeus).
  • Guns and grenade launchers are located at the front of the hull.
  • All weapons have excellent accuracy.
  • Two multi-purpose helicopters are available.

Cons:

  • Slightly lower speed and maneuverability compared to its counterpart (Pan Spatial Zeus).
  • Weak air defense effectiveness against aircraft.
  • High visibility compared to other ships.

The new Chinese hovercraft is a real heavyweight in its category, especially when compared to the Pan Spatial Zeus. It has a wider range of weapons, but at the same time, it is inferior to its counterpart in terms of performance. The gameplay of this ship is based on long-range combat using its long-range and high-precision equipment. When choosing this tactic, you don't have to worry so much about raids from enemy aircraft carriers, as they often prioritize single ships at close range. However, you can strengthen your air defense with a single freely replaceable slot with a missile battery. The following tactic is interesting and quite useful: by taking cover or keeping your distance, you can launch a TW 200 helicopter and use it to launch Red Arrow 20/50 missiles. Due to its high flight trajectory and immunity to anti-missile traps, such a strike can rattle the nerves of a ship commander with a low number of durability points, while keeping you safe.

What's the bottom line?

The CN DX-125 can really bring variety to the gameplay, breaking the stagnation in its class and even trying to take the crown from its only competitor, the Pan Spatial Zeus. In experienced hands, it can not only match it, but also surpass it in a number of combat situations. However, it should not be considered a panacea — it is still weak against aircraft, and at close range, even the most inexperienced battleship commander will quickly send you back to port. Like any other ship, it only reveals its full potential in experienced hands.
