RF Strazh is coming soon

Very soon, Modern Warships (MW) will feature a promising hybrid of a submarine and a patrol ship—the RF Strazh. It is capable of keeping any situation under complete control in the hands of an experienced commander!

RF Strazh is an improved version of a patrol ship with diving capabilities, combining the features of both a submarine and a surface combat vessel. Its arsenal includes not only traditional missiles and torpedoes, but also a precision rapid-fire shipboard gun capable of firing in a surface position. It also has a reconnaissance helicopter on board, capable of remotely guiding missile strikes. Thanks to this equipment and its unusual design, it poses a serious threat to any enemy ships.

Let's take a closer look at it!

Armament:

1. P-800 Yashma missile battery [1x1]🔒

2. UPAM-122 Groza cannon (122 mm)🔒

3. A-22M grenade launcher (140 mm) [2x1]🔒

4. UGST Physic torpedo (533 mm) [1x1]

5. UGST Physic torpedo (533 mm) [1x1]

6. Camcopter Strazh helicopter [1x1]🔒

Although at first glance the submarine's arsenal does not impress with its range, it can pleasantly surprise you with its power and versatility. In particular, to combat enemy submarines and the torpedoes they launch, there are two single torpedo launchers on board, as well as A-22M grenade launchers. The latter cannot be replaced, but this is not necessary, as they are more than capable of defeating torpedoes floating on the surface of the water. It is also worth paying attention to the missile batteries: in addition to being able to be launched from underwater from a submarine, they can also be guided and launched using a Camcopter Strazh helicopter. And now we come to the most interesting part — the submarine is equipped with a unique weapon, the UPAM-122 Groza, capable of delivering accurate and devastating fire at long range. Only limited aiming angles and a fairly noticeable reload speed hold back the powerful potential of this gun!

What is the gameplay like on the new submarine?

Overall, the gameplay on the RF Strazh is significantly different from other submarines. It is designed for long-range combat thanks to its accurate and long-range weapons. However, thanks to its excellent mobility, you can also choose the classic tactic of attacking from the flanks. However, unlike its classmates, most of its weapons can only be used in a surface position. Underwater, you can only use torpedoes and anti-ship missiles, which is only half of this submarine's potential. This means that this submarine should be considered not so much as a full-fledged representative of its class, but rather as a kind of frigate capable of hiding underwater in an emergency. Also, thanks to a pre-launched helicopter, it has the ability to launch missiles over obstacles without the risk of being detected or coming under return fire.

So what's the bottom line? This submarine can bring a non-standard gameplay experience compared to its counterparts, thanks to its unique and, at first glance, unsuitable for its class set of weapons. This allows you to try out a wide variety of tactics that you couldn't implement on other submarines.
