November brings the Black Friday season to Modern Warships, with a festive calendar and plenty of gifts, ricochet improvements, new equipment, and other game improvements.
Main Update Highlights
⭐ Black Friday
All of November in Modern Warships is dedicated to Black Friday! Earn Black Marks in this month's events and the Festive Calendar, then exchange them for rewards in the Black Friday Shop.
Black Marks are November's new currency. Where to get them:
- in this month's mini-events;
- in the Breakthrough Campaign;
- in this month's Big Event — as stage rewards and in event activities;
- in the “Deal with the Shadow” event — for every game;
- in the Festive Calendar.
Your Black Mark balance is shown in every event window, so you can save them up all month long.
Black Friday Shop is a separate tab in the Shop. You can open it directly from event windows and the Festive Calendar, and after a purchase you'll return right where you came from. From November 1 to 29, new items appear in the shop every day — check back often!
Festive Calendar is open from November 2 to 30 for captains level 8 and above. A gift awaits you every day: Premium Account, Gold, Upgrade Points, premium consumables, and Black Marks.
VIP Pass in the Big Event. This month's Big Event now features a VIP track with additional rewards at every stage alongside the free reward track. Both tracks share the same progress. You can unlock the VIP Pass at any time — rewards for stages you've already completed will be yours too.
⭐ Ricochet System Improvements
In the previous update, the ricochet system became deeper: ricochet chance depends on the impact angle and weapon caliber. We've been closely following your feedback and battle statistics, and in this update we've refined the mechanic for combat against aircraft.
Gun projectiles no longer ricochet when firing at aircraft and helicopters, regardless of caliber group. Every hit on aircraft counts as a regular hit and deals damage. Engaging air targets with main-caliber and dual-purpose guns is now more reliable and predictable.
Nothing changes in combat against surface ships. Impact angle, hull positioning, and choice of aim point still determine whether damage gets through.
⭐ Battle Reconnect
A lost connection shouldn't cost you a victory. The reconnect system that already worked in Team Deathmatch and Custom Game is now available in Tandem Wars and Domination.
⭐ Ranked Mode
We continue to develop Ranked Mode, and in this update we've made it more visible and convenient:
- Your progress toward the next league and the seasonal reward waiting for you there are shown right in the lobby. During calibration, the banner shows how many battles are left, and in the top league it marks that you've reached the maximum.
- Ranked battles now award points for the current event . The post-battle rewards window has received an updated design.
- A “New” badge will appear on the Ranked Store tab, on the Store button in the mode window, on the lobby banner, and on the new items themselves.
- Push notifications. We'll remind you when a new season starts and notify you a week before it ends, so you have time to claim your rewards.
- Tips for newcomers. Players opening the mode for the first time will see a tip on how to start their first ranked battle.
This is the first step toward a major Ranked Mode update that we're preparing for upcoming versions. Stay tuned!
⭐ Updated Subsystem Card Design
All subsystem cards in the Workshop and Shop have received a new design. Now you can tell at a glance which weapons fit a slot and how your ship is configured:
- Left — the slot multiplier, i.e. how many weapon units are installed in the slot, and the weapon class icon.
- Right — the weapon type, with detailed information about it when a slot is selected.
- Mixed slots (e.g. ASM/SLBM) are displayed more clearly: you can immediately see which missile types can be installed in them.
- Weapon subclass is now shown directly on the card.
Battle Pass: “Dirty Business”

LRAShM Missile Battery
Available in the VIP Battle Pass
Features:
A hypersonic anti-ship missile developed for the Indian Navy. It stands out for its sturdy body and complex flight trajectory, making it well suited for coastal defense and long-range strikes.
Its high flight trajectory and hardened casing make the LRAShM an excellent long-range strike weapon. The missile pairs well with other missiles that overload enemy air defense systems — in this scenario, it becomes your main striking tool.
ROKS HDF-6000 Frigate
Available in the Battle Pass Shop
Features:
A South Korean-built multi-role export frigate designed for a wide range of missions. Its modular layout allows it to adapt to various operational needs, while stealth technologies reduce its radar profile. The ship combines good mobility with diverse armament, including new cluster missiles. Modern air defense provides protection against aerial threats, including SLBM interception.
A balanced arsenal allows the frigate to fight with equal confidence both in long-range positional duels and at the tip of the spear. The ship's main striking force is the unique Haeseong-5 anti-ship missile, with a reinforced casing resistant to interceptor fire and a cluster warhead that deals area damage.
Defense is handled by the powerful Pegasus missile air defense and the RIM-156 SM2 SAM. The latter can intercept SLBMs, making the frigate a reliable mobile shield not only for itself but for the entire allied team.
Armament:
- Missile battery (ASM) — RUM-139 Swarmer [x2]
- Missile battery (ASM) — Haeseong-5 [x2]🔒
- Cannon — Mark 45 Mod 4 (127 mm) [x1]
