Ranked mode

We are pleased to introduce the long-awaited Ranked Mode, where every player will have a chance to define and prove their skill in Modern Warships!

Greetings, Commanders!

We are pleased to introduce the long-awaited Ranked Mode, where every player will have a chance to define and prove their skill in Modern Warships!

Each participant's way through the Ranked Mode begins with a qualification phase. After playing 10 matches in this stage, players will be assigned to ranks corresponding to their level of play. Playing within the ranks and defeating leveled opponents will allow you to move up to the higher ranks and earn prizes on the leaderboard. Earn Ranked Battle coins and exchange them for valuable rewards during and after the end of the season.

Please note that the first season of Ranked Mode is a test season. We ask you to spend as much time as possible on naval battles in the new mode and share your opinion in the main social networks of the game. Based on the feedback from the community, we will take action to further improve the Ranked Mode.

Qualification

  • For battles in ranked mode you need to determine your starting rank.
  • It is assigned based on the results of 10 qualification battles.
  • The more victories you win, the higher your starting rank will be.
  • It is not recommended to leave the qualification battles, as in this case the rank will be determined inaccurately, which can worsen the game experience.
  • After completing 10 qualification battles, you will be assigned a rank.

Ranks

Modern Warships Ranked Mode features a total of 5 global ranks, each divided into 3 sub-ranks. This means that a total of 15 stages await players.

  • The player's task is to get the highest possible rank at the end of each season.
  • You can move up the ranks by winning battles.
  • The number of rank points depends on the results of the battle, the ranks of the players in the teams, and your final place in the team at the end of the battle.
  • If you are defeated or leave the battle before your ship is sunk, your rank will be lowered.

Ranked Battle Coins and Ranked Store

Along with Ranked Mode, we have added new currencies to Modern Warships:

  • Ranked Battle Coin - is awarded for the first 10 ranked battles per day. The amount depends on the efficiency in battle.
  • Ranked Season Coin - earned at the end of the ranking season. The amount depends on the final rank.

Coins can only be obtained by participating in Ranked Mode. It is not possible to acquire coins in any other way.

Both Ranked coins can be accumulated between seasons.

You can spend both currencies in the Ranked Shop. The store will be regularly updated with new gameplay and cosmetic items. Please note that small rewards have been chosen for the test season. Future rewards will be better, including containing rare ships.

Ranked Mode Leaderboard

Going to the leaderboard is available from the main Ranked Mode window, as well as through the Player Profile, in the tab with ratings.

This window contains:

  • information about the current season leaders
  • all-time best players list
  • results of all past seasons

Players who place on the leaderboards each season are entitled to valuable rewards.

Additionally

  • Battles in the first test season will be held in the classic Team Deathmatch mode. Other game modes may be added in the future.
  • Players will be able to participate in Ranked Mode in a squad of up to 3 people. The maximum squad size may be changed in the future.
  • If a live player quits a match before its completion, they will receive a penalty. The penalty includes restriction of access to Ranked Mode. The more penalties a player receives, the longer each subsequent restriction will last. The penalty does not apply to leaving battle after death.
  • If your ship has been sunk, but you do not want to finish the current ranked match, you may exit the battle.
  • Your rank will be raised or lowered post facto based on the results of the battle.
  • In Ranked Mode, you cannot watch your opponents or switch to free camera control mode.
  • The minimum level to participate in the mode is 25
  • All ships and equipment of the III range will be allowed to participate in the mode, except for those that have recently appeared in the game.
  • There is also a new “Available for Ranked Battles” filter available in the ship and equipment filters.
  • The info of each ship and equipment can now contain a new checkbox - “Available for Ranked battles”.
  • Disallowed:
    - using ships and equipment from the tier I and II
    - using ships and items introduced in the current season and the one directly before
  • If you try to join with an unavailable ship or equipment, a popup will ask you to change your ship or equipment.
  • Information about a player's current and best rank is available in any player's profile card.
